O you who direct my words to their ugliest
O you who twists my words to their ugliest intent,
Because he who is beloved is a sorcerer of eyes
Simply because he is an enchanter of eyes, the beloved,
If it were true that one who said "fire" burnt their mouth
If the one who said "fire" had his mouth burned by it,
No being would utter the name of fire
No creature would ever have uttered the name of fire.
