1. أَصبَحتُ غَيرَ مُدافَعٍ مَولاكا

    وَالحَظُّ لي في أَن أَكونَ كَذاكا

    I have become unconcerned, no longer defending you, my beloved

    And fortunate am I to be this way

  2. لِلَّهِ دَرّي أَيُّ رَهنِ مَنِيَّةٍ

    بِالأَمسِ كُنتُ وَهالِكٍ لَولاكا

    Praise be to God! Which pledge of death was I under yesterday?

    I would have been doomed were it not for you

  3. أَصبَحتَ مُعتَدّاً عَلَيَّ بِنِعمَةٍ

    ما كانَ يُنعِمُها عَلَيَّ سِواكا

    You have become ungrateful, bestowing on me a favor

    That no one but you used to bestow upon me
