My shelter does not fail to protect me,
My member never fails to find me fierce encounters,
The night has made its appointment.
For the night has scheduled its appointed trysts.
It cries until my erect head ascends,
It surged erect until it passed my head, ascending,
Selling and exceeding the span of my arm.
A full fathom long, and surpassing that by a forearm.
Then it climbs and accumulates excess upon excess,
Then it climbed upward, growing ever greater,
As if a rock hand seized a bridle
As though a mighty hand had taken heavy boulders
Casting one then another into it.
And cast them inside it, one by one.
So people took the mosques for shelter,
The people fled into the mosques on its account,
Raising hands and arms
Raising their hands and arms in supplication,
Pleading while bowing and prostrating,
Imploring God, bowing down and prostrating,
Fearing arriving heat and torment.
Fearing a scorching heat and a descending torment.
If you could see me sitting under my shelter,
So if you saw me sitting beneath my cock,
You'd think me a child calling to its parent.
You would deem me a child prattling to his father,
I reckon it a roaring flood let loose.
Mistaking it for the crag of a solitary mountain.
