I complained to my father about my lisping,
May my father be ransom for a lisping lad whom I teased,
So he said angrily and harshly:
Who replied with coquetry and languid softness,
When he saw my disobedience to him,
When he saw my contrariness toward him:
"How often the femaler meets the male!"
"How much have thoulth thuffered becauth of thoulth!"
I disputed him violently
I shared with him a golden wine from Karkh,
Like a guttural letter at the start of speech.
That had been milked from the vines of a tiller,
Our waterskin standing erect at times
Our pitcher standing erect at one moment,
And at others lying flat and slack.
And at another, bending down to kneel.
