O you who makes the grieved forget their sorrows
O you who made the funeral gathering forget their sorrows when appearing among the consolers,
When consolation comes to them from us
She lifted the embroidered veil from a countenance that God has robed in beauty,
The mask of sadness has uncovered a face
She captivated the women with her stunning form, so that they weep now only out of social obligation,
That God has adorned with beauty
For it is the right of that face to beguile the sorrowful heart away from its grief.
They were tempted by her appearance
And now they weep for the ordeal
That face deserves to shine
Free from the sadness of those in despair
