All the people are the same to me
I have no likeness among all of mankind,
My poison is water, my kiss is a curse
My water is wine, and my morsels are kisses,
So it is, until when the eyes close
And so it remains, until eyes drift into slumber,
And my sleep comes, so my bed is a shackle
And when my sleep draws near, my mattress is a lover's haunch,
O people! Rush to your fate
O people, make haste before the appointed term,
For after each soul, a fate waits
For every soul is pursued by a destined end,
Let a man among you praise God
And let that man among you give praise to God,
Whose helper was hope for his beloved
Whose hope has aided him in winning his beloved.
