وشادنٍ أهيفَ ذي غُنّةٍ

يقصرُ عنهُ النعتُ والوصفُ

With a voice of beautiful melody

And a slender fawn with a sweet, resonant voice,

That description and adjective fall short of

Whom description and epithets fail to capture,

حتى إذا صرتَ إلى حاضرٍ

منه إذا ليس له خَلفُ

When you are present before him

Until, when you come into his presence,

He has no peer

From him, there is no turning back.
