Say to the one with the disheveled face
Say to the one with the Turkic face,
And the one with the firm jawbone
And the sidelock scented with musk,
And the one with the bracelets and anklets
And the one of the navel and fleshy
And the unclasped breasts
folds, and the bosom unlaced,
You have fallen silent without reason
You feigned a silence with no natural
Just to be stubborn with me
cause, just to show off your disdain,
Yet my dear one refused
But it refused, O you who are
Except to come undone
open, to do aught but break loose.
So tell me which bird
So reveal to me: what manner of bird
Of the birds on earth are you
from the flocks of the earth bore you here?
Whenever I pester you insistently
Whenever my insistence toys with you,
Or if I cast off your bond
or if I seek to be joined with you,
You say woe to me
You cry to me, "Oh, the calamity
Have you not given yourself relief from me
you bring! Will you not give it a rest?"
