يا رَبِّ إِن عَظُمَت ذُنوبي كَثرَةً

فَلَقَد عَلِمتُ بِأَنَّ عَفوَكَ أَعظَمُ

O Lord, though my sins be manifold,

O Lord, though my sins have grown great in number,

Yet I know Your pardon is greater still.

I know with certainty that Your pardon is greater.

إِن كانَ لا يَرجوكَ إِلّا مُحسِنٌ

فَبِمَن يَلوذُ وَيَستَجيرُ المُجرِمُ

If none but the righteous relied on You,

If none but the doers of good could hope in You,

Then who would the sinner have to heal?

Then with whom would the sinner seek refuge and sanctuary?

أَدعوكَ رَبِّ كَما أَمَرتَ تَضَرُّعاً

فَإِذا رَدَدتَ يَدي فَمَن ذا يَرحَمُ

I call on You, Lord, as You commanded, pleading,

I call upon You, my Lord, as You commanded, in humble supplication,

If You reject my hand, who then will show mercy?

And if You turn away my hand, who then is there to show mercy?

ما لي إِلَيكَ وَسيلَةٌ إِلا الرَجا

وَجَميلُ عَفوِكَ ثُمَّ أَنّي مُسلِمُ

I have no path to You but hope,

I have no means to reach You other than hope,

And the beauty of Your pardon, for I am Muslim.
