I drink not date wine,
I do not drink of Darin's vintage,
Nor cooked wine do I drink,
Nor do I drink of wine that's cooked,
But the clear juice I drink
But rather I drink of the 'Mikh',
Which is called Abreech,
That which is nicknamed the 'Abrikh',
On newly laid eggs
Served upon eggs of beetle broods,
And no sopped bread,
Not food that is tainted and smeared,
And camel's meat well done
And meat of the suckling camel calf,
And roasted as it should,
Scalded of hair and flayed of hide,
And I follow the way of the two sheiks,
And I follow the tracks of the two old sheikhs,
Herdi and Mulleech.
Hardiy and his fellow Mallikh.
