If the land of Paris brings us together one morning
Then for me it has a hand I will not let go
I love the lands of God, a land that beholds you
And a house that contains your plains
Must I in every day take a trip after a trip
That makes my soul suffer and frightens it
So for me forever a heart that is very troubled
And for me forever a soul that has little inclination
May God protect a heart that does not yearn intensely
To you and eyes that do not overflow with tears
