If my body disappears in the soil, accompany my shadow

For you will not find among people a lover like me

The fame of my memory will suffice you from the beauty of my image

Is the love of women ever lasting to the adored one?

The flowers of roses that you picked

From the soft, growing leaves to your curly hair

My tears did not avail them from rising and falling

While thorns are for love and flowers are for declining

Your perfume is still fragrant after

You have settled with the roses hastened by withering

We were created for the most wretched love while you enjoy

So you don’t know my knowledge and you don’t carry my burden

The like of you does not accept such from the like of me

I carried the innocent love, purer than piety

The shining sun cleanses it from my mind

My hand has not touched the clothes of humiliation

Nor have my feet trodden on tainted ground

I see the heart ennobled, its echo lamenting

When purity meets nobility in it

And if villainy provokes its blade in it

The strings are cut from the sharpness of the sword

And gather kisses with which you have permitted

Or given between reluctance and consent

We forget the world favouring baseness
