سلِّم وصلِّ على النبيِّ مُحَمَّدِ

واحمل سلاحَ مجاهدٍ مُستَشهِدِ

Send blessings upon Prophet Muhammad

And carry the weapon of a martyred mujahid

واخدم لعزَّةِ دولة عربيةٍ

في الجيشِ والبس شكَّة المتجند

And serve the glory of an Arab state

In the army, wearing the uniform of a soldier

لولا المدافعُ والدوارعُ لم تقم

دولٌ جَحافلُها كبحرٍ مُزبد

Without cannons and tanks, no state can stand

With armies like a turbulent, billowing sea

يا ابنَ الأُلى وردت سوابقُ خيلهم

نهرَ المجرَّةِ في زمانِ السؤدد

O son of the sublime, their horses have returned

The Euphrates River in the time of disasters

هلا اقتَفَيتَ إلى العُلى آثارَهم

فالمجدُ في الفَسطاطِ لا في المربد

Why don't you follow in their sublime footsteps?

For glory is in the tent, not in the shovel

خذ من صناعاتِ الحديد أجلَّها

تأخذ بها الأعداءَ واصنع للغد

Take from the iron industries their finest

To defeat the enemies, and build for tomorrow

أما الشجاعةُ فهي فيكَ سجيةٌ

موروثةٌ بمثقَّفٍ ومهنَّد

As for courage, it is ingrained in you

An inherited trait, cultured and sharpened
