O master of the universe, the bells of the villages rang

At sunset, so your praise overwhelmed the people

And the temple of the monastery, your hymns shook it

And the soul of your servant softened or grieved in it

And the wind blows and the fields spread fragrance

And the river rumbles and the willows weep

And the flowers glance through the branches like eyes

When the sweetness of blossoms ring from bowers

And the tender night in our forests doubtful

Visits the people of love with longing and insomnia

And the star consoles the shepherds and guides them

While my two stars the black cloud hides them

And the mother weeping turns to the planet

And the sea scatters foam from its waves

O Lord, return to her in intention a boy

His youth fades like roses and fragrance goes away

He has for the home and loved ones grief

And in the nights on the waves moans
