When ecstasy excites me I say to her

Memory and relics suffice as glory

I saw glory as an unsullied robe

While time decays brocade and silk

I am a king, and my heart is my throne

My verses shake the throne, shaking it

From misery it drew nobility and greatness

It envied neither the mighty nor the honored
