يا ربنا يا مظهر الشهود

ومصدر الفيض على الوجود

O our Lord, O Manifester of witnesses,

And Source of Grace upon existence,

وعنصر الفضل ومادة الرسول

وسدرة السير لمنتهى الوصول

And Essence of Bounty and Matter of the Messenger,

And Lote tree of conduct to the utmost attainment.

أبسط علينا من أيادي الامتنان

ما يثلج الصدر له مدى الزمان

Unfurl upon us from the hands of beneficence,

That which gladdens the breast throughout time.

وافتح علينا من فيوض المدد

لجج بحر ما لها من عدد

And unlock for us from the outpourings of aid,

The seas whose numbers are beyond count.

واشرح صدورا بالتجلي والكشوف

واغسل ظغائن أليمها مخوف

And expand breasts through manifestation and unveilings,

And wash rancors whose pain is dreadful.

وأسبل علينا الستر والأمانا

فرح قلوبا وأزح أحزانا

And drape upon us the veil and safety,

Delighting hearts and dispelling sorrows.

واستعمل الأشباح في الطاعات

كذلك الأرواح للمشاهدات

And employ the spirits in acts of obedience,

As well as the souls for contemplations.

وجرد النفس من الكثافة

وحلها بحلل اللطافة

And detach the self from density,

And adorn it with the garments of subtlety.

وجرد العقل من العقال

وتوج السر بتاج الكمال

And detach the intellect from fetters

And crown the innermost being with the crown of perfection.

وهذبن بفضلك الأخلاقا

ويسرن بجودك الأرزاقا

And refine us through Your grace in character

And facilitate through Your kindness our provisions.

وعلمن منك العلم المكنون

وعمنا من فيض سرك المصون

And teach us from You the hidden knowledge,

And enrich us from the outpouring of Your concealed secret.

واحفظ علينا السمع من آفات

والشم والذوق من العاهات

And preserve for us hearing from defects,

And smell, taste from disabilities.

كذا اليدان وكذا الرجلان

والأصغران وكذا العينان

So too the two hands, and the two feet,

And the two smaller ones, and the two eyes.

واستعملنها في رضاك يا ودود

وجبين إليها كثرة السجود

And employ them in Your good pleasure, O Affectionate One,

And direct them often to prostration.

واحفظها يا رب من الشيطان

ومدها من مدد الرحمان

And protect them, O Lord, from Satan,

And aid them with the support of the Merciful.

بحق قيوم السماوات ومن

له الشؤون كل يوم تظهرن

By the right of the Sustainer of the heavens and the One,

For whom is the command every day apparent.

وحق من إليه تلجأ الورى

عند الشدائد فتخنل العرى

And the right of the One to whom creation turns,

In times of hardship, so the covering is removed.

من علينا بحلاوة الإيمان

والانخراط في بساط الإحسان

The One who granted us the sweetness of faith,

And incorporation into the courtyard of benevolence.

نحن ووالدونا والأهلونا

كذا الأصحاب أنل فنونا

Us, our parents, and our families,

As well as companions, grant attainments.

كذا بنون ما بقوا منعمين

في الدين والدنيا مع المستيقنين

And our children, for as long as they remain

Felicitous in religion and the world with the certain ones.

واحفظ عليهم دينهم وأكلأهم

من الشياطين فلا تفتنهم

And protect for them their religion and strengthen them

Against the devils, so do not test them,

عما أمرتهم به أعيذهم

بكلماتك التي تنجدهم

From that which You commanded them with, I seek refuge for them,

By Your words which give them victory.

وأغننا يا غني يا وهاب

حي كريم رؤوف توّاب

And enrich us, O Wealthy One, O Bestower,

Living, Noble, Compassionate, Forgiving.

واشفنا يا شافي فقد عم الحرج

واشتدت الأزمة عجل بالفرج

And heal us, O Healer, for hardship has become unbearable,

And the crisis has intensified, hasten relief.

واكفنا يا كافي إذا دهمنا

بضغطات الدهر لا ذهلنا

And suffice us, O Sufficient One, when

The afflictions of fate overcome us, we do not become bewildered.

واكشف خطوب الدهر يا قويّ

حي قيوم عظيم ولي

And unveil the calamities of fate, O Powerful One,

Living, Watcher, Magnificent, Guardian.

واسبل علينا الستر يا قيوم

في كل لحظة لنا يدوم

And drape upon us the veil, O Eternal One,

In every instant, enduring for us.

وزج بي في لجة المشاهده

ولا تثبطني عن المجاهده

And immerse me in the ocean of contemplation,

And do not discourage me from struggle.

لكي أكون شاربا بالكاسين

ومعطيا شعائرا بالعلمين

So I may partake of both chalices,

And give indications with both branches of knowledge.

يا ربنا يا ربنا يا ربنا

يا ربنا يا ربنا يا ربنا

O our Lord, O our Lord, O our Lord,

O our Lord, O our Lord, O our Lord.

وطهر العقول من شكوك

واحفظ أوامري من التروك

And purify minds from doubts,

And protect my affairs from abandonment.

مهيمن قدوس يا رحيم

سلام مومن شكور حليم

O Guardian, Holy One, O Merciful,

Peace, Securer, Thankful, Forbearing.

ودود يا غفور يا رحمان

عطو يا حنان يا منان

Loving, O Forgiving, O Merciful,

Generous, O Affectionate, O Beneficent.

سلم جموعنا من التكسير

أدم كمالنا بلا تغيير

Keep safe our community from decimation,

And complete our perfection without change.

واجمع قلوبنا عليك يا قريب

في كل وقت يا كريم يا مجيب

And unite our hearts upon You, O Near One,

At every time, O Generous One, O Responder.

واكفنا شر الحسود الغشوم

مع المعاند الغبي الظلوم

And protect us from the evil of envious aggressors,

Along with obstinate fools and unjust oppressors.

بما تشاء يا مذل يا وكيل

خيب فخوخ الكافرين يا جليل

With whatever You will, O Humiliator, O Trustee,

Disappoint the cunning of the disbelievers, O Majestic One.

واكسف عقولهم وأركس مسعاهم

امحل خلجانهم وخصب مرعاهم

And humiliate their minds, and invert their efforts,

Destroy their fervor, and spoil their pastures.

واعقم تدابر لهم والمصائد

أوقعهم بها في جب الأخاديد

And sterilize their scheming and traps,

Make them fall into the pit of chasms.

أذقهم اللهم بؤس المشئمات

وقد خلت من قبلهم المثلات

Make them taste, O Allah, the evils of misfortunes,

When examples before them have passed.

واجعل آراءهم لها تناكس

في الجزئيات وكذا النوامس

And make their opinions retreat

In details and laws.

وخذهم أخذ عزيز مقتدر

بالبشطة الكبرى وبأمر قد قدر

And seize them with the seizure of the All-Powerful,

With utmost authority, and by a decree ordained.

ورد كيدهم بهم يا قهار

اقهر عدوي وانتقم يا جبار

And turn back their plots against them, O Vanquisher,

Vanquish my enemy and take revenge, O Compeller.

وشتت الجموع منهم يا قدير

واذهب بنورهم يا حق يا بصير

And scatter their groups, O Omnipotent One,

And take away their light, O True One, O All-Seeing.

وعمهم منك بجند الرهبوت

واشمل إيماننا بجند الرغبوت

And encompass them from You with the army of compulsion,

And include our faith with the army of attraction.

واحفظ علينا بيضة الإسلام

وزدها ريشا بتآخي الأنام

And protect for us the egg of Islam,

And augment its feathers through fellowship of mankind.

أيد عقولنا بروح القدس

ومدنا بدون حصر الأكؤس

Support our minds with the Holy Spirit,

And sustain us with chalices without limit.

وخيب القصود والأماني

منهم على الفور بلا تواني

And disappoint the intentions and wishes

Of them immediately without delay.

أدر علينا من دروع وزرود

ومن حصون الحفظ جودا ودود

Rain upon us coats of mail and armor,

And fortresses of protection, bounty and affection.

بحق سر باء بسم الله

والذات والصفات يا إلهي

By the right of the hidden secret, “In the name of Allah”,

And the Essence and the Attributes, O my God.

لا تخفرن ذمتنا فيما انتمى

لنا ولاذ وأنله مغنما

Do not violate our integrity in what is attributed

To us, and sought refuge, gaining therefrom.

واجعل رحابنا مناهل الوراد

حسا ومعنى وملاذا للعباد

And make our open spaces wellsprings of pilgrims,

Inwardly and outwardly, and a refuge for worshippers.

هذا الدعاء وعليك التكلان

أجب دعانا عاجلا يا رحمان

This is the supplication, and upon You is reliance,

Respond to our call immediately, O Merciful.

بالمصطفى لبنة التمام

مشيد الإيمان والإسلام

By the Chosen One, the brick of perfection,

Builder of faith and Islam.

أزج كروبي وأذهبن غمومي

واكشف شجوني وأمط همومي

Bring my spirit close and remove my sorrows,

And unveil my agonies and erase my worries.

بآله وصحبه العظام

ما حدا حاج بحمى الكرام

By his Family and his noble Companions,

None rivals their sanctity and honor.
