أبدى لوجه جماله

قلبي حصل فيه دائر

I showed for his beauty's face

My heart circled around it

أسجد لديه مصليا

بما يلوح لدى المقابر

I bow before him praying

By what appears at the graves

لم نشتكي ببعده

حبي معي والطرف ناكر

We did not complain of his absence

My love is with me though my gaze denies

لا أكتفي بوصاله

لو دار دهر الدهر زائر

I cannot be satisfied with his union
