أولى الذَّخائرِ بالسَّيا

سةِ والحِمايَة والحِراسَهْ

The prime of treasures is youth

It deserves care, protection and vigilance

عُمرُ الفَتى فهو النِّها

يَةُ في النَّباهَةِ والنَّفاسَهْ

A young man's life is the pinnacle

Of alertness, vitality and grace

فحذَارِ من تَعطيلِه

إنْ كْنتَ من أهلِ الكِياسَهْ

So beware of wasting it

If you are sensible and wise

وارضَ الخُمولَ معَ السَّلا

مةِ فالبَلاءُ معَ الرِّياسَهْ

Forego laziness and resignation

For affliction awaits leadership
