يامَنْ غَدا سَبَبي حتَّى عُرِفْتُ بهِ

حَسْبي عُلاكَ إلى نَيلِ المُنى سَبَبا

O you who have become my reason to the extent that I am known for you

It is enough for me that you are the means to attain what I wish

لَولْم تُرِدْ نَيْلَ ما أرجو وأطلُبُهُ

من فَيضِ جُودِكَ ما علَّمتني الطَّلبا

If you did not want me to attain what I hope for and seek

From the overflowing of your generosity, you would not have taught me to seek
