ومُهفْهِفٍ يسعى بكأسِ مُدامَةٍ
والكأسُ فُوهُ والرُّضابُ مُدامُهُ
A slender youth comes bearing a cup of wine,
And the cup is his mouth, the sweet saliva its wine.
وإذا تثَنَّى مائساً في مَشيِهِ
فالسَّرْوُ في ريحِ الشّمالِ قَوامُهُ
And when he sways coquettishly as he walks,
His stature is the cypress in the north wind.
