أقولُ لِمنْ يعلّمُهُ المَعالي
ويذكُرهُ لذي حقِّ ذِماما
I say to one who teaches him virtues,
And reminds him to one who deserves a bridle,
أراكَ تعلَّم الصَّدْرَ التزاماً
لِمَن يَهواهُ والثَّغرَ ابتساما
I see you learned the chest as an obligation,
To whom you love and the lips a smile.
