كلامُ الأميرِ النَّدبِ في ثِنْيِ نَظمِهِ
ينوبُ عنِ الماءِ الزُلال لِمَنْ يَظْما
The words of the prince lament in the curve of his poem
Replacing cool water for the thirsty one
فنروي إذا نَروي بدائعَ نَظمِهِ
ونَظْما إذا لم نَروِ يَوماً لهُ نَظْما
So we quench our thirst when we recite the masterpieces of his poem
And poetry when we do not recite his poetry one day
