لاعَيبَ في جَفوَةِ إِخواني

لاعَيبَ في جَفوَةِ إِخواني

فَبارَكَ اللَهُ لِإِخواني

فَبارَكَ اللَهُ لِإِخواني

There is no life in estrangement from my brothers;

so may God bless my brothers.

لَستُ بِذي مالٍ فَأُرعى عَلى ال

لَستُ بِذي مالٍ فَأُرعى عَلى ال

مالِ وَلاصاحِبَ سُلطانِ

مالِ وَلاصاحِبَ سُلطانِ

I am no man of wealth, to be shown regard on account of—

—wealth; nor am I a man of authority.

ما يَرتَجي مِنّي أَخٌ شَأنُهُ

ما يَرتَجي مِنّي أَخٌ شَأنُهُ

في نَفسِهِ أَرفَعُ مِن شاني

في نَفسِهِ أَرفَعُ مِن شاني

No brother expects anything from me—one whose standing

in his own eyes is higher than mine.

لارَهبَةٌ مِنّي وَلارَغبَةٌ

لارَهبَةٌ مِنّي وَلارَغبَةٌ

عِندي فَيَرجوني وَيَخشاني

عِندي فَيَرجوني وَيَخشاني

He has neither fear of me nor desire for anything

I possess, that he should expect something from me and fear me.

وَقَلَّما يَصفو عَلى غَيرِ ذا

وَقَلَّما يَصفو عَلى غَيرِ ذا

تِ اللَهِ إِنسانٌ لِإِنسانِ

تِ اللَهِ إِنسانٌ لِإِنسانِ

And rarely is one person sincere toward another except—

—for the sake of God.
