مَرَّتِ اليَومَ شاطِرَة

بَضَّةُ الجِسمِ ساحِرَة

Passed today, a clever one

With a charming, bewitching body

إِنَّ دُنيا هِيَ الَّتي

مَرَّتِ اليَومَ سافِرَه

It is this world that

Passed today as a traveller

سَرَقوا نِصفَ إِسمِها

فَهيَ دُنيا وَآخِرَه

They stole half her name

So she is a world and an end
