1. اِصبِر عَلى نُوَبِ الزَما

    نِ وَرَيبِهِ وَتَقَلُّبِه

    Have patience with the vicissitudes of time

    And its reversals and fluctuations

  2. لا تَجزَعَنَّ فَمَن تَعَتـ

    ـتَبَ دامَ وَصلُ تَعَتُّبِه

    Do not despair, for whoever persists

    Will see the end of their persistence

  3. شَرَفُ الفَتى طَلَبُ الكَفا

    فِ بِعِفَّةٍ في مَكسَبِه

    The honor of a man is in seeking sufficiency

    With dignity in his livelihood

  4. يَرضى بِقَسمٍ مَليكِهِ

    مُتَجَمِّلاً في مَطلَبِه

    He accepts his Lord's decree

    Beautifying himself in his quest
