How many a sage desires through his wisdom

To take advance praise before his blessing

Yet this is not what the Merciful judged

    In His justice and mercy

We take refuge in Allah, the Majestic, the Generous

    From His wrath and vengeance

A man is only by his good, manifest guidance

And the goodness of what he provides

A man is only by the excellence of his way

In private and public and the justice of his distribution
