O preacher to the people, you now stand accused,
for you condemn in them the very things you do—
like one who dons a garment to cover his nakedness, while his private parts
lie exposed before all, with nothing to conceal them.
The gravest sin after associating partners with God, as we know it,
in every soul, is its blindness to its own faults,
and its preoccupation with the faults of others, which it sees
in them, yet cannot see the fault within itself.
