سَكِرتَ بِإِمرَةِ السُلطانِ جِدّاً
فَلَم تَعرِف عَدُوُّكَ مِن صَديقِك
You are utterly drunk on the authority of the sultan,
So that you cannot tell your enemy from your friend.
رُوَيدَكَ في طَريقٍ سِرتُ فيها
فَإِنَّ الحادِثاتِ عَلى طَريقِك
Tread softly on a road I have traveled,
For calamities lie along your path.
