1. مَن صَدَقَ الحُبَّ لِأَحبابِهِ

    فَإِنَّ حُبَّ ابنِ عُزَيزٍ غُرور

    He who is true in his love for his loved ones

    The love of Ibn Uzayz is but illusion

  2. أَنساهُ عَبّادَةَ ذاتَ الهَوى

    وَأَذهَبَ الحُبَّ الَّذي في الضَمير

    It made him forget the worship of his passionate love

    And took away the love that was in his conscience

  3. خَمسونَ أَلفاً كُلُّها راجِحٌ

    حُسناً لَها في كُلِّ كيسٍ صَرير

    Fifty thousand, all of them weighty

    With the tinkling of coins, beauty is hers in every purse
