إِحذَر مِنَ الدُنيا مَغَبَّتَها

كَم صالِحٍ عَبَثَت بِهِ فَفَسَد

Beware the world and its deceit,

How many righteous it made stray and ruined.

ما بَينَ فَرحَتِها وَتَرحَتِها

إِلّا كَما قامَ اِمرُؤٌ وَقَعَد

Between its joy and misery

Is but like a man standing then sitting.
