Lighten your burden of worldly things, perhaps you may be saved

For in righteous conduct and piety lies the path and method

I have seen the ruin of the house recounted by its vanity

When the flute, lute and lyre gather

O deluded one, will you have an argument

With which to contend on the Day of Resurrection?

Contemplate the turns of events, for in every moment

They inflict sorrow upon your heart

Do not assume conditions will remain for their people

For a situation may go straight then bend

Whoever enjoys something enjoys its subtleties

And whoever dislikes something finds fault in it

When the vile act rashly, their minds are distraught

Such is the contention of scoundrels when contending

Blessed is He who alone cures worries

And who by Him alone fire and ice befriend
