People in religion and worldly life have degrees

And wealth is between stalled and convulsing

Whoever lives, spends much of his prime

And for straits are doors of relief

If it is too narrow for you, God's earth is spacious

In the face of every strait is an alleviating aspect

The sleeper may catch up with the guide in his sleep

Yet the brother of spirits and shadows may fail

The best of methods in needs is the most successful

And the narrowest of affairs is the closest to relief

I have known, though I fell short in my deeds

That the son of Adam is not devoid of excuses

How can one be devout without qualm

None fears God but everyone with qualm
