قالوا صبرت وقد أوذيت قلت لهم

صبرت والصبر للخيرات مفتاح

They said you were patient though you were hurt, I said to them

Patience comes with good things in store

والأمر رديته للَه معتقداً

رد الأمور إلى الرحمن إصلاح

And I left the matter to God believing

Leaving matters to the Merciful brings remedy

إني تبرأت من حولي ومن حيلي

تبرأ فيه للأحزان أفراح

I disavow those around me and my own schemes

Disavowing brings joy to sadness

وباتوكل أحمى من بني زمني

ففي التوكل إمداد وإنجاح

And with trust I protect better than the people of my time

For in trust lies provision and success
