    بصفات المتأنف

    ل وقد طاش المحرف

    The slanderer has the most influence on him

    ك قبيح النهج مقرف

    Indeed, the slanderer is ugly

    ن غيره الانظار نصرف

    Oh love, from which

    ل كما ملت الا اعطف

    And rejecting causes ruin

  21. داوني من جرح طرف

    لك للاكباد يطرف

    Heal me from the wound of your glance

    That makes the liver tremble

  22. وتدارك لا رى من

    ك سنا للقلب مشغف

    And remedy, lest you see

    Grey hair on a passionate heart

  23. هي ذي الدنيا كطيف

    فاذكر السير وخفف

    This world is like a mirage

    So remember the journey and lighten up

  24. لا ترى الظل مقيما

    بعد هذا لك موقف

    You will not see a lasting shadow

    After this, you have a stand

  25. يجهل الجاهل هذا

    الشأن العارف يعرف

    The ignorant misses the point

    The knowledgeable one knows
