ها أنت نصرة عاجز مثلي أتا

ك له بكاء تلهف وعويل

With tears of yearning and woeful cries

You're no Chinese sword in blindness's sheath

ولانت سيف صين في غمد العمى

وبكف سلطان القضا مسلول

With the hand of fate's judge unbound

You're God's door, the pillar of support

ولانت باب اللَه السند الدى

مادق ركن فخاره التحويل

No corner of his pottery is transformed

You're the secret in speech, supporter

ولانت سر في الكلام مؤيد

وكلام ربي ما له تبديل

And my Lord's words suffer no change

So with your lofty rank and status

فبقدرك العالي وجاهك داولي

بشفاء عطفك فالفؤاد عليل

Heal with your kindness, for my heart ails

Have mercy on servants, when gathered tomorrow

وارحم عبيداً حين يحشر في غد

من غير حبك ما لديه فتيل

Without your love, their wicks bear no oil

Their deeds were ill, mistakes intermingled

عمله ساءت ومازجت الخطا

وبذاك قام كشيرها وقليل

And so the many and few arose

With the goodness of love, a secret rope

وله بحسن الحب حبل سريرةٍ

حبل النجاح بأصله مجدول

A rope of success, its origin braided

So by His love, affirmed, and when remembering what

فبحبه متوثق وإذا تذكر ما

طواه كتابه فنحجيل

His book has concealed, we feel lowly

And generosity's bounty leads to acceptance

ويسوقه الكرم العميم إلى الرجا

إن الكريم مسامح ومقيل

The generous forgives and pardons

Your mercy protected me, Helper, for I

وحماك رحماك الغياث فأنني

ما لي وحقك عن حمالك عدول

Have no right to divert from your burdens

Your all-encompassing, protecting grace, with no

فرحابك الحامي العفاة وما له

في العالمين ممائل وعديل

Match or equal in the worlds

Through you is guidance and glory for Islam

وبك الهدى والفوز للإسلام وال

عز الذي وعلاك ليس يحول

The honor raising you turns not away

While I am the weakest of your nation

وأنا أقل ضعاف أمتك التي

هي في ضلالك حملها محمول

Lost without your shade, carried in darkness

So by your grace, Lord, spare me the woes of time

فالرب بفضلك واكفني هم الزما

ن ففيك فيه على بنيه أصول

For through you, rules for His children originate

Have mercy, when the call for judgment calls

وارحم إذا داعى الحساب دعا فأن

ت المرتجي والسيد المأمول

For you are hoped for, the trusted Master

Include, with your help, my father and brothers

واشمل بعونك والدي وإخوتي

وعني إذ بك للمراد حصول

And me, when with you, wishes are attained

Show kindness to my family and all my clan

واعطف على أهلي وكل عشيرتي

عطفاً به عند الرجاء قبول

With kindness, hopes are accepted at their time

And for our protection on days of plight, guarantor

ها أنت كالئنا إذا الباغي بغى

ولحفظنا يوم الكروب كفيل

Enter, with your generosity, my brothers

For through your liberality, it pours forth

وادخل ببحر الفضل إخواني وعا

ملهم بجودك أنه مبذول

And care for Muslims, take them under your wing

Repel their enemies, odious and hostile

والمسلمين تولهم بعناية

عنهم ترد الضد وهو خذيل

Upon you, God's blessings as long as dawn gleams

And clothes the darkness in inert silence

وعليك صلى اللَه ما لمع الضحى

وكساه من ثوب الظلام خمول

And on your family and virtuous companions

Through steadfastness, the perfect faith encompassed

والآل والأصحاب من بثباتهم

جمعت من الدين القويم شمول

This is what the weak servant Abulhuda recited

Prolonging praise of you, long and abundant

ما أنشد العبد الضعيف أبو الهدى
