اشكو الى الله العظيم ومن تكن

شكواه لله العظيم يغاث

I complain to God Almighty, and whoever

Complains to God Almighty, He will help

فعساه يحسن بالعناية رحمة

وبفضله قد تجمع الاشعاث

Perhaps He will show mercy with care

And with His grace gather the scattered dust

الجسم مني عاجز عن حمله

والفكر نحو مأملي حثاث

My body is too weak to carry it

And my mind urges towards my hopes

وتزورني الايام وهي كأنها

والهف قلبي كلها اضغاث

And days visit me as if they are

Meaningless sorrows filling my heart

يا رب بالمختار فرج كربتي

يا واحدا للمستغيث غياث

O Lord, through the Chosen One, relieve my distress

O Only One who aids the desperate cry
