قد اكثر التهويل اخلاط على

صفحاتهم سطر المذلة قد رقم

They have filled their pages with much pretense

And lines of humiliation have been traced

تركوا على تهويلهم لهوانهم

وكذا الذباب لضعف صورته سلم

In their pretense they have left it to their jesters

Just as flies concede due to their weak image
