بفقري والذنوب وضعف حالي

لجأت بباب خير المرسلينا

With my poverty, sins, and lowly state,

I have come to the door of the best of messengers.

وقد أملت من علياه نصري

وكسرة ظهر جيش الحاسدينا

And I have hoped for victory from his highness,

And the breaking of the backs of the army of enviers.

فحاشا أن أرد بغير قصدي

وآمالي بأصل العالمينا

So shame on me if I return without my aim,

And my hopes in the Master of all people.
