    ت الحقُّ ان لا تنحرف

    O cruel-hearted one, turn

    Truth demands you do not turn away

  3. كم لي عليك من الحقو

    ق وانت فيها تعترف

    How many rights of mine upon you

    That you yourself acknowledge

  4. جانبت منهاج الرضا

    ومضيت سوءا تقترف

    You turned away from the path of contentment

    And went astray committing wrongs

  5. وغدوت من ماء التجن

    ي بالخيانة تغترف

    And started drawing betrayal

    From the waters of immorality

  6. ان النجيب اذا تبا

    عد للامانة ينصرف

    Indeed when the noble one distances

    Himself from trust, he turns away

  7. لا عتب لي ذا الاختلا

    ف فكم قلوب تختلف

    I have no reproach for this estrangement

    So many hearts differ

  8. لكن تعاب لبثك ال

    بهتان بالوجه الصلف

    But you are blamed for your

    Slander with your stern face

  9. يصف الفتى شأن الفتى

    وهو الجدير بما يصف

    The young man describes the situation of a young man

    And he is deserving of what he describes

  10. ومن الدناءة ان يس

    يء المرء قد ما من الف

    And it is villainy that a man

    Does wrong when he refuses to be just

  11. مثلي على رغم اللئا

    م بكل مكرمة عرف

    Like me, despite my wounds

    Honored with every virtue known

  12. اسرفت في انكار حق

    ي عند حدك لو تقف

    I exceeded in denying my right

    At your limit, if you would just stop

  13. يا ناطح الجبل اتئد

    ما هكذا اكل الكتف

    O mountain climber, this is not how

    One eats away the shoulder

  14. وافقت فينا الخائني

    ن وطرف بغيك قد طرف

    The traitors among us agreed

    And your whims have turned away

  15. كم طود بهتان بنا

    سمة الحقيقة قد نسف

    How many lies covered up

    The facts until they were destroyed

  16. فاندب زمانك يا خؤُ

    ن لتلف دمعك ما نشف

    So cry over your time, O betrayal

    Until your tears are never dry

  17. تبغي التجارة بالخيا

    نة انت بئس المحترف

    You want to trade in treachery

    You are the worst professional

  18. يا من عكفت على الاسا

    ءة صرت اقبح معتكف

    O you who insists on evil

    You have become uglier than a devout worshipper

  19. دعنا من القول الصحي

    ح وقم خيالا نقتطف

    Leave us be from honest words

    And rise up imaginatively, let us pluck

  20. يا قاطعا حبل المود

    ة عن فتى فيه شغف

    O you who cut the cord of love

    From a young man passionately obsessed

  21. ان كنت ريما فالتفت

    او كنت غصنا فانعطف

    If you are a white deer, turn

    Or if you are a branch, bend
