لَيْلَى وَيَا لَيْلَى

حزت الجمالَ وحدكْ

Layla, oh Layla

You alone encompass all beauty

واشْ مِنْ عَقلي

يبْقَى لِمنْ يَرى حسنكْ

What is left of my sanity

For those who see your beauty?

آه على حالي

إِذا نغَيبْ غيبه

Oh, my state!

When you disappear from my sight

لا عيش يهنالي

حتى نرى طيبه

No life seems livable

Until I see your kindness again

ونبلغ مرادي

ونطوفُ بالكعبه

And attain what I desire

And circumambulate the Ka'ba

يا طلعةَ الزَهْري

اسمك عزيز مكتوب

Oh, blossoming flower

Your name is precious and written

مهما نراك نبري

وينجلي المكروب

No matter how much we see you, we want more

And worries disappear

يا نورَ نورِ النورْ

يا صاحبَ الخاتمْ

Oh light, light of all light

Oh owner of the seal

أعطاكَ ربي النورْ

سماك أبا القاسمْ

My Lord has given you the light

And named you Father of Qasim

صلُّوا على الهادي

صلُّوا عليه شوقا

Pray upon the Guide

Pray upon him with longing

عزِّي وارشادي

المصطفى حقا

My honor and guide

Truly, the Chosen One
