لأخلعَنّ عذَارى في مَحبتَّكُمْ

بِحوَلكم لا بِحولي لا ولا حِيَلي

I will take off my adornments out of love for you

By your power, not mine, I have no stratagems

وأتركُ الكوْنَ حَتَّى لا أراهُ ولا

أرى اللحوْظَ لترَكِ الترَكِ من قبَلِي

And I will leave the universe until I no longer see it

Nor see my glancing due to my abandoning of glances

الخلقُ خَلقكمُ والأمْرُ أمْركُمُ

فأيُّ شيء أنا لا كُنتَ مِنْ طَلِلَ

Creation was created for you, and the matter is your matter

So what thing am I if I was not from your loci?

الحقّ قُلتُ وما في الكوِن غيركُم

أعوذُ باللهِ منْ عِلمي ومِنْ عَمَلي

I spoke the truth - there is nothing in the universe but you

I take refuge in God from my knowledge and my deeds

ما للحِجَاب مكاَنُ فِي وجودِكُمْ

إِلاَّ بِسر حروف انظُرْ إِلى الجبلِ

The veil has no place in your existence

Except by the mystery of letters - look to the mountain

ظهرْتُمُ فَخفِيتمْ مِنْ ظُهورِكُم

أنتمُ دَللتمْ علَيْكُم لِلدّليل ولِي

You appeared but then were hidden by your appearance

You pointed to yourselves for the pointer and for me

أنتم دَللتمْ عليكمُ منكمُ بكمْ

ديمُومةً عبرَّتْ عن غَامِض الأزلِ

You pointed to yourselves through yourselves and by yourselves

An everlastingness that expressed the ambiguous eternity

عرفْتُمُوكم فمنْ هذا الخبِيرُ بكُمْ

أنتمْ هُمُ وحياةِ الحب يا أملي

I knew you yet who is this expert in you?

You are them and the life of love, O my hope!

كمْ ينكرُ النكر لا والعرْفُ عُرْفكُمُ

وإِنما النكرّ للمخلوقُ منْ عجل

How much denial denies - no, and the acquaintance is your acquaintance -

Denial is only for the hastened created being

بالوْهم يثبتُن والتّحقِيق يُعدمُهُ

أنَّى لضعف الفرَاش الصّبرُ للشعل

With delusion they prove and verification negates it

How can the weak moth have patience for the flame?

قدْ أحرَقْت سُبُحاتُ المجد كل حجي

أقرّ بالعجزِ والاذعانِ والكسلِ

The splendors of glory burned every veil

I admit to powerlessness, submission, and laziness
