سألوا الرياحْ

إِنْ التقوا أحباب قلبي

They asked the winds

If they meet the loved ones of my heart

ودمعي جراحْ

تجردْ على خدِّي ونهدي

And my tears are wounds

That stripped down on my cheek and my bosom

لو صبت جناحْ

قلبي يصبرْ مِنْ شدةِ تعبي

If I poured a wing

My heart endures from the severity of my fatigue

لاصبرَ لي

كيف الصبر والجسم ناحل

I have no patience

How can I have patience when my body is emaciated

يا سيدي يحقْ لي

نبكي على بعد الحبايبْ

O my Lord it is right for me

To cry over the distance of loved ones

يا سيدي هُم سادتي

وأنا إِليهم مفتقرْ

O my Lord they are my masters

And I need them

يا سيدي من وحشتي

بَدَّلتْ نومي بالسهر

O my Lord from my loneliness

I changed my sleep to wakefulness

يا سيدي من فرقتي

نبكي على بعد الحبايب

O my Lord from my separation

We cry over the distance of loved ones

لا صبرَ لي

كيف الصبر والجسم ناحلْ

I have no patience

How can I have patience when my body is emaciated

يا سيدي يحق لي

نبكي على بعدِ الحبايب

O my Lord it is right for me
