My eyes reveal
What I've hidden of my passion
How can I conceal
When my tears have grown
I've become inclined to separation
And gentleness isn't my nature
The power of my eyelids
Straitens my patience
It alone reduces me
So how could I bear the separation
Oh gazelle, what a state
To the passion in the covenant
After it has turned
From union to separation
This aloofness has been prolonged
And you've been led with intention
I didn't want my distance
But it is my fortune
By my father Hayif
I have returned like a young plant
Florid and gentle
The roses of his cheeks appeared
Fearing they'd be plucked
He protected them with his eyes
Like a sparrow hawk
Hovering over roses
Death of the heart
Your servant Hayman
Stop blaming
And leave what has passed
The desire of passion
That it may write from the youths
The best I have
When you are well, my servant
