1. يا وَرْدتَيْ خَدَّيْهِ ما لَكُمَا

    تَتكَلأَّنّ بِراشِحِ العَرَقِ

    O two roses of his cheeks, what is the matter with you both,

    that you burden yourselves with trickling sweat?

  2. أوَلَيسَ للوَرْدِ الجَنيِّ غِنَىً

    عَنْ مَائِهِ بأريجِهِ العَبِقِ

    Does not the freshly plucked rose have no need

    of its water, through its rich fragrance?

  3. إن كُنتُمَا تَستشرُفَانِ إلى

    مَاءٍ يرشُّكُمَا فمِنْ حَدَقِي

    If you both are yearning for

    water to sprinkle you, then let it come from my eyes.
