Upon the mountains of worry, I grew my boughs,

Quivering between the rocks with arduous effort,

The mist overwhelmed me, yet I put forth leaves,

And blossomed for the tempests, standing alone,

I swayed in the darkness, diffusing my scent,

Filling the void of sorrow with the breath of my rose,

I sang of the glory of life and of longing,

But the hurricanes did not understand my intent,

They cast my green branches down to the lowlands,

And persisted in the snow, digging my grave,

They bore away my fragrance, yet I said: It will build,

In the meadows of the sky, a glory from my perfume,

I have courted the spring and the breaking dawn,

So what shall the wind do now that I am gone?
