يَخرُجْنَ من فُرُجاتِ النَّقعِ داميةً

كأنَّ آذانَها أَطرفُ أَقلامِ

They emerge from the rifts of the battle-dust, blood-stained,

As though their ears were the nibs of sharpened pens.
