We are drunk with our love and satisfied,
We have become intoxicated by our love, and it suffices us;
O cupbearer, take away your cups,
O cupbearer, take your goblets away,
And pour the wine for the little birds and bees,
And pour the wine for the sparrows and the bees,
And let the earth embrace your bride.
And leave the earth to embrace your bride.
We have no need for cups, we seek not
What need have we of cups, seeking from them
From them pleasures, for love itself is magic and rapture.
Ecstasy, when passion itself is magic and intoxication?
Spare us, for spring itself is our goblet,
Leave us be, for Spring is our cupbearer,
And this space is a cup and wine.
And this vast space is both goblet and wine.
We live like birds on the tranquil horizon,
We live like birds upon the tranquil horizon,
And like bees atop the blossoming flowers.
And like bees hovering over tender blooms.
We play beneath the shade like carefree children,
We play beneath the shadows like two children,
Happy in childhood’s delusion.
Joyful in the innocent pride of youth,
And on the beautiful rock in the valley,
And upon the beautiful rock in the valley,
Amidst unknown fears,
Amidst the unknown fears.
We wander through the meadows at dawn, and at dusk,
We wander through the meadows from dawn to dusk,
And sing with the melodious breeze.
Singing along with the chanting breeze,
We whisper to nature’s spirit in the universe,
Communing with Nature's spirit in the cosmos,
And listen to her singing heart.
Listening closely to her melodious heart.
We walk the earth with flowers and dreams and fantasies,
We are like the Spring, walking upon a land
Upon which love dances, plays and sings in elation and coquetry.
Made of flowers, visions, and reverie,
We live in a heaven of magical gardens,
Upon which passion dances and plays,
In a distant, distant world,
Singing in rapture and delight.
In our flowered nest we recite,
We live in a paradise of enchantment,
Verses of love to happy youth.
In a world far, far away.
We have left existence to people,
In our rose-adorned nest, we recite
To live life as they desire,
Verses of love to happy youth.
And taken its essence, which is spirit,
We have left the mundane world to the crowds,
Leaving them the shells, which are inanimate.
Let them spend their lives however they wish;
We are drunk with our love and satisfied,
We took its core—which is spirit—
The cup overflowed, so go away, cupbearers!
And left behind the husks, which are but clay.
We live and desire no more,
We have become intoxicated by our love, and it suffices us;
What you have given us, O life, is enough.
The cup has overflowed; begone, O cupbearers!
Enough is our flower that gives us pleasure,
We live and desire nothing more;
Enough is our cup from which we sip,
Sufficient is what you have granted us, O Life.
For in our lips is a heavenly nectar,
Sufficient are the flowers whose scent we inhale,
And in our hearts an exquisite spring.
Sufficient is the cup from which we sip.
O time that flows aimlessly,
For in our mouths is a heavenly nectar,
O blind fate,
And in our hearts, a blossoming spring.
Stop where you are or move on,
O Fate, O Time rushing onward
And leave us here, serenaded by dreams,
Toward no destination and no rest,
And love and mighty existence.
O Universe, O blind Destiny,
And if you insist, carry us along,
Halt where you stand, or march on!
With love’s flame on our lips,
But leave us here, where dreams sing for us,
And life’s flowers fragrant with scent,
Along with love and the vast existence.
With magic and youth in our hands.
And if you refuse, then carry us away—
With the flame of passion upon our lips,
While the flowers of life exude their perfume,
Holding magic and youth within our hands.
