يَا رَبِّ بِمَنْ حَفِظْتَ حُطْنَا

وَالْطُفْ أَبْدَانَنَا وَحُصْنَا

O Lord, by those You have protected, encompass us with care,

And be gentle with our bodies, and fortify us,

وَافْتَحْ سَنَدِي عَلَى عَيْبِهِ

لَمْ يَعُدْ بِكَ الْجَمِيلُ ظَنَّا

And grant an opening to my support despite its flaws,

For the beautiful expectation of You did not return as mere conjecture.
