    O Abu Ghalib, my affliction prevails over my body,

    For within my nerves it has sunk its fangs and claws.

    Indeed, I have unloaded it, in all its fierce reality,

    Before you, that you may repel its edge and render it false.

    For this grace is overflowing from you, and never is it seen

    That an afflicted soul comes to you and departs disappointed.

    تَسُحُّ عَلَى مَثْوَاكَ مِنْهُ سَحَائِبُ

    And your secret is the secret of Allah, never fading;

    Clouds from Him pour down abundantly upon your resting place.

    Whenever one burdened by compounding afflictions calls upon you,

    He is answered by your miracles and glorious virtues.
