أَلاَ يَا نَسْمَةَ الصَّبَاحِ هُبِّي
عَلَى إِدْرِيسَ مَنْ يَهْوَاهُ قَلْبِي
O breeze of the morning, blow forth
Upon Idris, the one my heart adores,
وَقُولِي يَا مُعِيدَ الْغَرْبِ شَرْقاً
بِطَلْعَتِهِ وَمَا أَوْلاَهُ رَبِّي
And say: O you who restores the West to East
With his countenance and the grace my Lord bestowed upon him,
أَتَاكُمْ عَبْدُ نَجْلِكُمْ ذَلِيلاً
وَقَدْ أَوْلاَهُ بُعْداً إِثْرَ قُرْبِ
The servant of your son has come to you, humbled,
Having been dealt distance after once being near.
